Car and Driver put some thought into this list, which is interesting becuase, unlike many other lists of best or coolest, it considers influence on the automotive world. I couldn’t find much to disagree with.

 – The Ford Falcon, as the first small car from the big 3
 – The 1954 Corvette as the first American sports car
 – The Lada Classic and its 40 years of conveying Russians and Eastern Europeans
 – The Ford Courier as the first domestic/Japanese partnership effort
